So lately I have been really stressed out and just been missing home. This morning I was trying to stay motivated by listening to gospel and meditating at breakfast. I noticed a new girl and she asked me if I would help her with filling her water bottle up. I initially thought "why couldn’t you do it". Then I realized she was obviously blind in one eye and probably losing her vision in the other. After holding a brief conversation with her, she told me that she had recently moved to DC from Russia!! I immediately realized I had received my blessing and revelation through my random act of kindness.
So I think I owe $3 to the ACS by now- I must do better. I started a new job yesterday and we have a training class of about 15 ppl. I sit next to a girl who's really sweet and personable. She isn't very computer savy and frankly, I'm no IT person but I do know a little. She couldn't figure out her bank's routing number nor her account number so I helped her to set up online banking, in order to get direct deposit. She asked me to go to breakfast with her during our break so I did; I'm always hungry! We were in line and I paid for my food; she swiped her card after me and her card was declined. She started to panic and left her breakfast where it was, obviously embarrassed. I paid for her breakfast and told her to pay me back when she remembered. I thank God that I had $3 to help her out. Sometimes God uses his children as "personal assistants" in order to help others. I will be a personal assistant any day if that's what scored me "points" with God. Be encouraged;-)
